I Want to Be Well in October
-
This month is dedicated to raising awareness about bullying, supporting those affected, and promoting kindness and inclusion in our communities. Together, we can create safe spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and protected. A small act of compassion can make a big difference.

This month, I proudly join the conversation—not just as an advocate, but as someone who lives with ADHD, too. ADHD doesn’t look the same for everyone, and awareness means understanding the challenges and celebrating the strengths that come with neurodivergence. Let’s continue to break stigma, share stories, and build spaces where neurodivergent minds can thrive.

This month serves as a powerful reminder to prioritize mental health check-ins—both for ourselves and those we care about. Depression is common, but it’s also treatable, and early screening can be life-changing. Take a moment to assess your mental well-being, reach out for support if needed, and encourage others to do the same. Your feelings matter, and help is available.

This month highlights the importance of making health information clear, accessible, and understandable for everyone. Health literacy empowers individuals to make informed decisions about their well-being—from understanding medical instructions to navigating healthcare systems with confidence. By improving communication and access, we can build healthier communities together.
We Pause to Honor✨
I Want to Be Well pauses to honor both survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and recommit to breaking the cycle of violence. We amplify survivor voices and foster safe spaces, so that we move closer to a world where everyone can live free from fear and harm. 💜Domestic Violence Awareness 💜
Today is World Mental Health Day, a time to pause and reflect on the importance of collective well-being. This year also comes with heavy news for many federal employees who lost their jobs—on this day of all days. I stand in solidarity with those affected and encourage everyone to prioritize their mental health during this difficult time. Your feelings are valid, and support is available. 💚
